ABOUT THE ROLE:


The Fashion and Arts Coordinator at the Economic Transformation Council (ETC) will serve a key role in advancing the creative industries, specifically fashion, arts, and design, by facilitating economic transformation and growth. The position requires overseeing projects, building strategic partnerships, managing corporate and international relations, and supporting policy development. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of project management, creative sector expertise, and experience in corporate and international relations, working toward the promotion of the fashion and arts sectors as economic drivers on both local and global stages.


Key Responsibilities:



1. Project Management:


  • Program Coordination:
    Develop, implement, and manage projects related to the fashion and arts industries that contribute to local and national economic strategies.


  • Timeline Management:
    Ensure the timely delivery of fashion and arts programs, exhibitions, and cultural events. Monitor project schedules, resources, and team activities to align with ETC’s strategic goals.



2. Corporate Relations:


  • Partnership Development:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with fashion houses, arts organizations, design companies, and other corporate entities involved in the creative industries. Identify sponsorship opportunities and collaborative initiatives that align corporate goals with the ETC’s mission.


  • Corporate Sponsorships and Funding:
    Work with corporate partners to secure sponsorships, donations, and financial backing for programs and events. Support fundraising efforts to enhance the visibility of local talent and creative industry projects.


3. International Relations:


  • Global Outreach and Collaboration:
    Foster international partnerships with global fashion brands, international art exhibitions, and cultural institutions. Represent the ETC at global forums, trade fairs, and cultural events to promote cross-border collaborations.


  • International Advocacy:
    Advocate for the local creative industries on an international level, working with embassies, international agencies, and trade organizations to facilitate the export of local fashion and arts talent.


4. Event Planning and Execution:


  • Industry Events:
    Plan and coordinate high-profile fashion shows, art exhibitions, design showcases, and creative workshops. Ensure these events not only foster cultural growth but also strengthen economic ties within the industry.


  • Conference and Workshop Management:
    Organize conferences and forums that bring together key stakeholders from fashion, arts, business, and government to discuss industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.


5. Strategic Planning & Policy Support:


  • Economic Development:
    Collaborate with policymakers and the ETC’s economic team to develop strategies that promote the creative industries as vital contributors to national economic growth. Provide input into economic policies that enhance business opportunities for fashion designers and artists.


  • Research and Analysis:
    Conduct research on global and local trends in fashion and arts to ensure that ETC initiatives are aligned with industry best practices. Prepare reports, recommendations, and policy briefs for leadership.


6. Marketing and Promotion:


  • Public Relations Strategy:
    Collaborate with the communications and marketing teams to create effective campaigns that raise the profile of fashion and arts initiatives. Promote local designers and artists on both national and international platforms.


  • Digital and Traditional Media:
    Develop strategies for increasing the visibility of ETC events, including social media campaigns, digital marketing, and traditional press outreach.


7. Budget and Financial Oversight:


  • Budget Management:
    Assist in preparing and managing budgets for programs, projects, and events. Monitor financial reports to ensure fiscal responsibility and alignment with project goals.


  • Funding Allocation:
    Oversee the appropriate allocation of funds across projects and ensure compliance with the ETC's financial policies.



Educational Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Management, Arts Administration, Business, Economics, International Relations, or a related field.



Experience Requirements:


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the fashion or arts industries, with a strong focus on project management, event coordination, or creative sector development.


  • Experience in Corporate Relations: Proven ability to engage and manage partnerships with corporations, securing sponsorships or funding, and aligning business strategies with creative initiatives.


  • Experience in International Relations: Direct experience working with global fashion brands, arts organizations, or international cultural institutions. Proven ability to build international networks and engage in cross-border collaborations.


  • Government/Policy Experience is a plus, particularly with public sector engagement in economic or cultural policy development.
